Making your Online ReservationAs a one-stop shop for Vienna hotels and travel reservations, our site features over 150 centrally located partner hotels. We also guarantee that our Hot Rate Hotels* are the best prices available online. So, if you find a lower rate on another website for the same room, at the same Vienna hotel, on the same dates, within 24 hours of making your booking with us, we guarantee you that we'll match it PLUS pay you 10% of the difference in price. What's more, our Live Help system is staffed by experts who are knowledgeable about accommodation in Vienna. Therefore, as well as receiving friendly service and specially negotiated room rates, we're able to offer advice and guidance on any aspect of your forthcoming trip! To make a reservation online, simply select from our "showcase" of Vienna hotels and then enter your reservation criteria (i.e. dates, number of guests, room type etc.). Our system will then search for the most appropriate and competitive room rates, after which you can use our secure booking form to make your reservation. In addition, we've recently introduced our "Custom Trip" fare finder. So take advantage of specially negotiated discounts and save yourself money by booking Vienna hotels and flights together! If you prefer to speak with a customer service representative, then call our worldwide travel reservations centre on: +1 972-894-1173 (World Wide Direct). Within USA or Canada call Toll Free on: 1-888-254-0637. Ensure you give Promo Code 5010 when calling to book your hotel in Vienna! Just as soon as we receive full details about your stay, you'll receive instant booking confirmation by e-mail. In most cases, you pay only a small service fee now (approx. $1.50-$3.50 USD per night) and settle your accommodation bill when checking-out (excludes "Hot Rate" or "Advanced Purchase" deals at selected Vienna hotels). Of course, when booking hotels through Talking Cities, your security and privacy are of the utmost importance to us. With this in mind, we've put together a Help Section that includes FAQs and background on our website, so you can book online in complete confidence!! * for further details, please refer to our Best Rate Guarantee page. Where to Stay in Vienna...For most visitors, the biggest problem with accommodation in Vienna is knowing just which of the city's many hotels to choose! Our site alone lists over eighty 4-star Vienna hotels and nearly forty of a 3-star rating. Consequently, despite Vienna being a popular all-year-round city, you'll usually find plenty of bargains, with frequent special offers at larger chain hotels (such as InterContinental, Sofitel, Radisson, Accor and Marriott) as well as smaller, family owned properties. When settling on a neighbourhood, it's important to consider general location. The city's most expensive hotels are located in and around Ringstraße (including Stadtpark) with those close to the Hofburg, Stephansdom and Parlament carrying a price premium. Even then, however, properties such as Best Western's Hotel am Parkring and Hotel-Pension Arenberg have wonderful locations along with good value rates, so it certainly pays to check out our pages in full! For those on a weekend shopping trip to the city, Mariahilferstraße - the longest shopping street in Vienna - makes for an ideal base, with hotels such as the Tourotel Mariahilf, InterCityHotel Wien, and Ibis Wien Mariahilf Hotel all being good lodging choices. For travellers on business at the United Nations or UNO City, you can either settle for downtown accommodation (with a trip of around 10-15 minutes by U-Bahn across the Danube) or choose a hotel in the immediate vicinity such as the Crowne Plaza Hotel Vienna or Tulip Inn Vienna Donau City. Choosing from hotels slightly further afield will save you money, although the availability of public transport should be considered carefully. Fortunately, as Vienna has a first-class S-Bahn (commuter train), U-Bahn (subway) and tram network, even hotels in outlying districts enjoy good connections to the city centre. As a rule, check our listings to see which district the hotel is situated in. Central districts have lower numbers, whereas those on the outskirts are given higher numbers (there are 22 in total). Once you're over the hurdle of deciding where roughly to stay, our guide makes from a wide-range of Vienna hotels easy. Each entry carries a brief description of the property, pension etc, while multi-language booking allows you to make a room reservation in seconds. Where the option to book is given, all transactions are conducted over a secure server, using the very latest encryption technology. Suffice to say, four and
five star Vienna
hotels have
a bathroom, telephone, TV, radio, mini bar and are usually air-conditioned. Three star
Vienna hotels have at least
one restaurant (even though it may be for breakfast only) and a bar, while the majority of two star
Vienna hotels will have their own shower
or bath. Rooms in hostels/guest houses will have wash basins along with hot and cold running water.
Many of the Vienna/Austrian hotels listed in this guide also have their own car parks (for which
a daily tariff of around €16 is usually charged). |
