An authentic Czech beer hall with live music venue downstairs. Frequented by the
city's pivo afficiandos - there's certainly no nod to fad or fashion here. Just
great lager and a simple range of snack meals (consisting mainly of cheese
dishes, pickled sausages and potato dumplings). Yummy!

to!

Another of Prague's high class microbreweries, this time producing its own light and dark beers.
For early risers, you can sample a brew over a hearty breakfast (served from 8am onwards), although
a bowl of tripe soup at such an early hour is perhaps a little daunting! By visiting at a more
sensible hour you can enjoy a beer (or two) over lunch/dinner in the pleasant brewery restaurant.
Offering the full range of traditional beer hall food - including the chance to order a whole
suckling pig (for a group of around 10 people) - the Novoměstský Pivovar is just
about as good as it gets! Recommended.

A pub with its own microbrewery on site - indeed beers are sold to take away as well as drink
inside. Along with typical Czech style beer, the company also brew fruit beers similar to those
popular in Belgium. And, whilst savouring each brew, you can also quell hunger pangs by choosing
from a menu of traditional Czech pub grub, including delights such as Svícková na
smetane (almost the national dish), Smažený veprový rízek (schnitzel) or
Pivní sýr - a strong pungent cheese that you mix with onions and a drop of beer to
make a sort of spread (eaten on bread).

Another of the Irish themed pubs in Prague, albeit with a traditional Czech name (its English
translation being 'the Mousetrap'). Drop in for a Guinness, a glass of Pilsner Urquell or perhaps a
Bernard beer, accompanied by some decent pub grub and occasional live music.

In many ways you need look no further than U Černého vola - a glorious traditional
pub with a laid-back, friendly atmosphere, Kozel on tap, with a superb location close to the Royal
Castle (and Loreta). Prices are reasonable, the food simple but hearty.
