InterContinental Prague, Description/Room Details:

A large modern hotel overlooking the banks of the Vltava River and conveniently situated in the historic Josefov district of Prague. The Intercontinental offers all the comfort and amenities you would expect from a 5 star establishment, with indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and solarium. Indeed, the Intercontinental won the accolade of "Best Hotel in the Czech Republic 2001" thanks in part, to excellent service and the award-winning Zlatá Praha restaurant. Just a shame it's no oil painting from the outside though...

Inside, however, it's a different story. The InterContinental's 372 guestrooms, including 89 Suites, have all been recently renovated. Room types are as follows:

Standard guest accommodation - offers the choice of an "Old City" or "River" view, with all 155 king-size bedrooms and 128 twin-bedded rooms providing guests with an atmosphere of warm hospitality. Along with relaxing colour schemes and fabrics, the comfort levels in each room are now higher too, thanks to new light fixtures, goose down duvets and full blackout curtains.

Club InterContinental® - combines leisure, work and comfort with first-class service for executive guests, including a comfortable modern lounge with meeting room and office services specially created for busy business travellers. Comprising of two Club InterContinental® floors, guests can now enjoy exclusivity and benefits that include private check-in and check-out, a newly refurbished, comfortable lounge, voicemail, dataport, fax machine with printer, coffee making facilities and a hi-fi system (in suites).

In addition, four types of suite are also available:

Business Suites - comprise of 26 units, each offering a bedroom with its own bathroom that includes a separate shower and bathtub. As well as a living room and office corner, each are equipped with a well-sized work desk, Internet access and private fax line, allowing guests to work efficiently and, where necessary, meet with colleagues.

Family Suites - are fitted with two king-size beds and are especially designed for parents bringing their children on vacation.

Large Suites - eight suites are available for those who plan an extended stay and need a more spacious living environment.

Junior Suites - 59 Junior Suites (one-room suites), which are more spacious than standard guest accommodation, come furnished with a comfortable sitting corner and also contain a private fax line, helping to serve as an ideal base for business travellers needing to work while away from the office.

Premier Suite - a luxury option consisting of one bedroom and bathroom fitted with Jacuzzi, living room, fully equipped office (copy machine, facsimile, internet access, etc.). In addition, guests can opt to connect their suite to an adjoining standard double room, transforming its layout into an exclusive suite featuring two separate bedrooms.

Guests at the InterContinental can also choose from a variety of culinary options. The Zlatá Praha Restaurant, acknowledged as being one of the Prague's finest, is the perfect spot to take lunch and dinner, while the Primátor Restaurant offers scenic views over the Vltava River, whilst also serving as the pleasant setting for breakfast. In addition, the Duke's Bar & Café serves a selection of light snacks, pastries and coffees, accompanied (on a regular basis) by live music performances.

Also on site, you'll find a fitness Centre with state-of-the-art gym and weight training equipment (along with Technogym Excite exercise machines), while 2 saunas, 3 solariums and a relaxing massage parlour - offering Thai, Swedish and oriental massages - pamper and relax guests in a calm, friendly, environment.
