Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa, Description:

Just a stone's throw from the fabled and dramatic Charles Bridge, the Alchymist Grand Hotel Prague is an upscale, intimate and historic retreat which, as well as offering a high level of personal care, provides first-class accommodation and services.

Housed within the landmark baroque "Dùm u Ježíška" building, the property dates from the 16th century and has, following extensive renovation, been exquisitely transformed into a luxury and distinctive hotel that reflects the nobility and charm of historic Prague.

Of the accommodation types available:

Deluxe Rooms are decorated in warm, rich colours and come equipped with air-conditioning, a plasma TV with premium channels, DVD/CD player, room safe, mini-bar and high-speed Internet access. The luxury theme continues with a private marble bathroom with shower, tub and bidet. Room sizes vary from 25 up to 33 square metres.

Junior Suites and Royal Suites feature all of the above in-room amenities, with room sizes varying from 40-53 square metres and 67 metres respectively.

Located on the top floor is the one-of-a-kind Royal Suite Deluxe (which boasts views of the romantic red roof tops of Prague). As well those amenities listed above, you'll find a generous floor area of 90 square meters.

The Alchymist Suite is a very romantic one bedroom choice, featuring a unique oversized marble bathroom of 22 square metres with a centrally placed bath-tub and separate shower. For an extra touch of luxury, you'll find floor heating in the bathroom, while a private terrace (with a view of the inner courtyard) compliments the romantic atmosphere. The suite enjoys a total area of 80 square metres.

For families, a two level suite offers a great combination of comfort and space, with a fully equipped kitchen and two separate bedrooms (featuring one queen size bed and two twin beds on the upper level). Each bedroom has air-conditioning, a plasma TV with premium channels, DVD and CD player, safe, mini-bar and high-speed Internet access.

Also available are the Tower Suite, which is spread over three levels and features an upper bedroom placed in a niche which has an observation area with a unique view of Prague. The Tower Suite can also be combined with an adjoining Deluxe Room to form a three bedroom/three bathroom suite. The size of this suite is 88 square metres.

The property's Imperial Suite is split over two levels and features a spectacular view of the inner courtyard and Tržišté street. With a lower sitting area, you'll find a dining table and fully equipped kitchen, balcony and a master bedroom with private bathroom. When taking a shower in the bathroom of the upper bedroom, a view of the world famous Prague Castle enlightens your stay. In total, the size of the suite is 96 square metres.

The junior Terrace Suite has a sitting area with an original and historical wooden ceiling providing an authentic atmosphere of the historical city of Prague. An extra large bathroom and terrace compliment the Suite. This Suite features air-conditioning, a large plasma TV with premium channels in the living area, additional plasma TV's in each bedroom, DVD and CD player, safe, mini-bar and high-speed Internet access. The size is 50 square metres or 538 square feet, with the terrace measuring 42 square metres. When combined with the adjoining Alchymist Suite the total size is 130 square metres and offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The Renaissance Suite is a one bedroom choice, with a lovely sitting area featuring an original and historical wooden ceiling. Along with a fully-equipped and separated kitchen, you'll find a large terrace and guest bathroom to compliment the suite. The total floor area is 60 square metres in size.

Finally, the Presidential Suite is the largest and most precious accommodation on offer. Spread over two-levels, it offers three bedrooms and three bathrooms. A separate entrance ensures the ultimate in privacy while, from the balcony, you can enjoy views of the 17th century Schoenborn Palace (which houses the US Embassy in Prague) and the romantic, cobblestone paved Tržišté street. A beautifully decorated interior, carefully selected with unique art objects including antique paintings, sets the tone for a memorable stay at the Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa. The Presidential Suite also features air-conditioning, a large plasma TV with premium channels in the living area, additional plasma TV's in each bedroom, DVD and CD player, safe, mini-bar, kitchen, dining room and high-speed Internet access. The total floor area is 200 square metres.

Elsewhere on site, you'll find the Café "Barocco Veneziano" which is adorned with stucco-work and period paintings, which serves morning espresso, aperitifs and after dinner night-caps. Luxurious furnishings, stunning views of Prague and attentive service combine to creating a pleasing experience in this unique and exclusive café.

The Aquarius Restaurant features an eclectic array of Italian/Mediterranean culinary dishes, including a wide selection of fresh fish and seafood in an intimate setting. In the evening, guests are entertained by engaging live music, while business lunch specials and a wide selection of wines are also available.

For an even more adventurous choice, the property's Sushi Bar (which is part of the Asian Spa) uses only the freshest fish to produce authentic tasting dishes. The Sushi Bar is located in the gothic cellar with historical vaulted ceilings.

In the spa itself, you'll find a restful atmosphere for rejuvenation in unrivalled privacy and comfort. Comprising of four private treatment rooms, guests can enjoy a wide-range of massages provided all by a gracious team of Balinese masseuses.

In addition, the Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa offers a fully equipped gym, with a unique setting within a gothic cellar.
