The shop's name is actually derived from an ancient form of hair removal called sugaring.
Apparently, it was (and we're taking their word for it here) practised by those rather clever
chappies the Egyptians for over 2000 years. Basically, a mixture of sugar, lemon and water is
applied to the skin, then removed by hand or with a cloth. And hey presto, even the likes of Pete
Sampras can have hair free, baby soft skin in under an hour. Unfortunately, we're all too chicken
to try it (for the time being at least).
