A truly global brand which has remained popular with UK shoppers. This store sells a comprehensive
range of clothes and accessories, with fashionable knitwear being a real strength. Also has a
men's
department which stocks suits and shoes, as well as (bright) leisurewear. Alternatively, if you're
based even more centrally, then the company's larger flagship store at Oxford Circus (255/259 Regent
Street) is also worth a visit.

Headed by the highly talented avant-garde British designer John Galliano, the House of Dior has
been revitalized in recent years by some outrageous, but highly innovative haute couture designs.
Having seemingly come up trumps with both press and public alike, this summer's ready-to-wear
collections are likely to combine a mix of vivid colours, Asian influences and
softer style tailoring. Of course, the Sloane Street boutique also carries fragrance, make-up, hand
bags, leather goods, sunglasses and other accessories.
Unit 14, The Stables Market, Chalk Farm Road, Camden Town, NW1 8AH, Tel: 020 7482 2842, Website: www.cyberdog.co.uk
All manner of futuristic 'Matrix' style fashions can be found at this trendy Camden based
shop. Along with baggy rave pants, jackets and T-shirts, Cyberdog also stocks a range of tops,
accessories and even music CDs. While some of the designs may be just a tad weird (if not garish),
others are extremely practical with plenty of pockets and well-chosen fabrics. Definitely one for
London's clubbing fraternity.
43 Earlham Street, Covent Garden, WC1H 8EF, Tel: 020 7497 5543, Website: www.diesel.com, Tube: Covent Garden
Wacky (if occasionally bizarre) advertising campaigns have made Diesel a leading brand for Europe's
18-25 MTV generation. As well as their trademark denim range, the outlet stocks a good selection of
high quality Italian casualwear. Like fashion giant Gap, Diesel have now entered the lucrative kids
market with an undeniably cool, if expensive range. Perfect for ensuring "successful living" for
the company's shareholders no doubt.

A suitably elegant London store for one of the world's most talented fashion designers. With other
Armani outlets in Sloane Square and Bond Street (Collezioni), Emporio carries many of the company's
lines including suits, evening wear, sportswear, shoes, bags, homewares and watches/jewellery.
Mainstream exclusivity (if there is such a thing) has never been more chic, or tempting. Such
fashions do, of course, come at a price, although if you're heart is set on anything Armani then
Emporio is definitely the place to go.

A highly likeable (and good value) surf oriented shop which certainly doesn't take itself too
seriously! The strategy pays off though, with Mambo's range of board shirts, T-shirts, and girls
tops proving more popular than shrimps on a barbie (with Australia being the place where the
company's founders hail from). Very popular with locals and tourists alike.

Popular British designer's store just off Covent Garden Piazza. With ranges for men, women and
children, shopping here could easily turn into a family affair, albeit an expensive one. What you
do get, however, are immaculately tailored clothes that manage not only to be contemporary, but in
many cases, quintessentially English too. The designer's 'London Line' of suits is particularly
appealing, while the kids range features some seriously funky T-shirts, printed dresses and denim
jeans.

While Pepe's heyday may have been back in the mid-80s, the label soldiers on in the hope that it
will once again steal the limelight. This flagship store in Covent Garden, complete with exposed
girders and a 'loft conversion vibe', certainly harks back to that era although its latest
collection of jeans, cotton shirts and jackets is conservative rather than extravagant. Basic
separates for women use plain fabrics, while reds, khaki and pastel colours predominate.

Undoubtedly one of London's most pleasant fashion stores, both in terms of style and layout, Ralph
Lauren's flagship UK outlet also carries a good selection of the designer's lines including Polo
Sport and Ralph. Of course, men's shirts, trousers and jackets focus on casual elegance rather than
cutting-edge fashion, while for women, nicely cut turtleneck sweaters compliment the more
traditional V-neck golf and polo ranges. And, if you're after homewares, Ralph Lauren now also has
an excellent range of bedding, towels and glassware too.

website.

Popular American fashion that has proved a big hit in the UK, and not just with streetwise
youngsters and Ali G clones either! Indeed, for the most part Hilfiger relies upon fairly
conservative men's and women's ranges for the bulk of its turnover. Of course, there's a kids
range too along with toiletries that include Tommy and Tommy Girl. The store's Bond Street location
is a boon, especially if you plan to visit more than a couple of designer stores.
