As the epitome of what visitors expect from a Las Vegas hotel, New York New York is extravagant, over-the-top and above all fun! An innovative facade re-creates the classic Manhattan skyline, complete with replica Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and 150-foot Statue of Liberty (with Ellis Island) all built to approximately one-third scale. The 12 New York-style skyscrapers house 2,024 guest rooms in total, while a Coney Island-style roller coaster - called Manhattan Express - runs around the perimeter of (and through) the building.

Of course, staying at the tallest hotel/casino in Nevada has its privileges. Uniquely designed rooms and suites not only carry fantastic views of the Las Vegas Strip, but are accented with classic art deco detailing, making them perfect for a romantic retreat or a restful break from the action.

Designed and built in Ireland, it was taken apart and then shipped from Dublin (via the Panama Canal) to Long Beach, California, before being freighted to Las Vegas.

Alternatively, Cirque de Soleil's "Zumanity" is touted as a provocative exhibition of human sensuality, arousal and eroticism. With an international cast of 50, the 90-minute encounter is said to "awaken primal urges in a new form of eroticism blending movement, style, acrobatics, uninhibited costumes and beautiful bodies".

Of course, if that sounds a little too intense, then some good old gaming action is called for! "Play In The Park" is the Central Park casino, complete with trees, ponds, streetlamps, and footbridges. Open 24 hours a day, it offers blackjack, craps, roulette and a variety of slot machines and video poker. What's more, high stakes slot and table game action can be found in the High Society gaming area.

Alternatively, thrill seekers will love the white-knuckled excitement of the "Manhattan Express", with riders experiencing negative g's on the world's first twist and dive roller coaster.

If you fancy dining after that, the distinct flavors of the Big Apple can be enjoyed at New York-New York with authentic Italian cuisine available at Il Fornaio, the taste of Chinatown at Chin Chin, while Gallagher's Steakhouse offers the finest dry-aged beef and the freshest seafood.
