MGM Grand Las Vegas, Description/Room Details:There's no doubt that a stay at the MGM Grand Hotel Las Vegas is an unforgettable experience. From the moment you enter the property's ornate marble lobby, it's a fantasy come to life, with a vast array of ultra-hip, upscale eateries, bars and clubs, live shows, first-rate amenities and, of course, the hugely impressive in-house casino, complete with brand new poker room. Four emerald-green towers contain 5,005 themed guestrooms and suites offering the very best in-room amenities and personal services. For starters, Grand Tower Rooms offer larger than average floor-space with the 446 square foot rooms decorated in a classic style. Equipped with uniquely styled black-and-white marble bathrooms, all rooms feature luxurious cotton towels, hair dryer, spacious closets, safe and alarm clock. In addition, a remote control television (with cable channels) and high-speed Internet access also come as standard. The West Wing is for those who demand a modern, stylish and supremely comfortable lodging experience. Contemporary in design, each recently renovated rooms comes with a king bed, flat screen TV, DVD player and Bose wave radio (max. occupancy 2 persons per room). Bungalow Suites, which offer 675 square foot of space, incorporate a living area with plush couch, chair and coffee table, with a choice of one king or two queen sized beds. Other amenities include a double sink vanity and high-speed Internet access. Celebrity Spa Suites are similar in style, but include a spacious whirlpool and separate shower. Of course, gaming is the key draw for many and, with 171,500 square feet of casino space, the MGM Grand is sure to impress novice and regular gamers alike. Comparable in size to four football fields, the MGM Grand's casino offers a complete range of table games including, among others, blackjack, craps, baccarat, roulette and Caribbean stud. Entertainment - as well as offering the very best of live theatre and music, the MGM Grand Hotel/Casino also regularly hosts major special events. Of those to have graced the stage here include Barbara Streisand, The Rolling Stones, Bette Midler and Neil Diamond, while the MGM's arena has hosted heavyweight championship fights including Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson and George Foreman's shocking defeat of Michael Moorer. Offering the choice of fine dining or lively themed restaurants, choices include the Canton and Shanghai inspired Pearl, the lively Rainforest Cafe, Seablue (fish and shellfish) and Diego's, which pays homage to Mexico's culinary traditions. With 14 restaurants on-site, you're sure to find a dining option to suit both taste and budget. Amenities - located in a private area of the hotel, the MGM Grand Spa and beauty salon offers a wide-range of full body treatments, herbal body wraps and scrubs, along with a state-of-the-art fitness center containing weight and cardiovascular machines.
