Palace Chapel (Burgkapelle)

Hofburg, Schweizerhof, A-1010, Wien, U-Bahn: Herrengasse
The chapel dates from the first half of the 15th century and was built during the reign of Emperor Freidrich III. Redesigned in a Baroque style during the 17th and 18th century, further alterations were also made at the beginning of the 19th century (when the Gothic interior was reinstated). The Chapel is now home to the world famous Vienna Boys Choir, who attend Mass each Sunday from January-June and October-December. Visitors can attend Mass, but must make reservations in advance.
