Located near the town of Cedar Crest along the Turquoise Trail, the museum’s exhibits let visitors step back in time to when America’s first inhabitants hunted mammoth, horses, and camels. Running all the way through to 1890 and the Battle of Wounded Knee, other exhibits include those on the science behind Sandia Cave and turquoise mining excavations, as well as archaeological methodologies employed to find stone tools, ceramics, human, animal and plant remains in the locality.
