What to Wear in Albuquerque

In spring and summer, it’s best to pack light clothing, including breathable cottons, along with sensible walking shoes, a hat (offering good sun protection) and sweater/pullover (needed especially at higher altitudes).

For wet and/or windy days, pack a good quality jacket, umbrella, windbreaker and hat. In winter, sturdy boots, a warm, weather-proof coat, gloves and hat are recommended.

For important business functions, parties and theatrical events it’s advisable to dress more formally, although a jacket and tie are not usually required when dining out.
