Staging classic, contemporary and cutting edge shows, the Vortex attracts both local and national productions to this small, likeable theatre. Relying, in part, on the help of volunteers for both front of house duties and more technically/theatrically minded roles - auditions for cast members are frequently held here - you’ll find comedy and drama pieces, as well as classic Shakespeare (with the likes of King Lear receiving a recent outing in early 2008).
