Palm House Schönbrunn (Palmenhaus Schönbrunn)

Schönbrunn, A-1030, Wien, Tel: 877 5087-0, Website: www.bundesgaerten.at/schbrunn, U-Bahn: Schönbrunn
A popular attraction for visitors to Schönbrunn Palace is the spectacular Palm House (Palmenhaus) which was built in 1883 by Ferdinand Hetzendorf von Hohenberg. The elaborate ironwork is somewhat reminiscent of the glasshouse in Kew Gardens, London. Inside, visitors can feast their eyes on a colourful array of tropical plants, orchids and, of course, palms from all parts of the world.
