Dedicated to the Viennese obsession with the cult of the dead, the Burial Museum was opened in 1967 by the city’s municipal mortuary service.

Here, you’ll find a display of uniforms worn by pallbearers, plus those associated with local burial traditions. Other funeral related paraphernalia, such as reusable coffins, abound.
