Well-worth including if you’re visiting the Belvedere, the Alpine gardens are among the oldest in Europe having been commissioned by Archduke Johann in 1803.

Containing a number of rare plant varieties, all are lovingly tendered within a large area to the south of the palace. Opening hours can be restricted though, particularly in adverse weather. Discount entry with a Vienna Card.
