Climate and Weather in Vienna
Vienna has a moderate continental climate, meaning that summers are usually warm and bright, with temperatures rising in July and August to 80°+ (27°C). However, the average daily temperature over the warmest months is a comfortable 66°F (19°C). Even then, however, you should pack a raincoat and warm sweater for occasional wet and windy days.
Winters tend to be cold, with lots of rain and occasional snow. The weather stays warm during September and early October but gets progressively colder after that. Arguably the best time for visiting Vienna is spring and autumn (fall), when the city enjoys lots of sunshine and crisp, clear weather.
