Café Mozart, Vienna

Albertinaplatz 2, A-1010 Wien, Tel: 513 0881, Website: www.cafe-wien.at, U-Bahn: Karlsplatz, Open: 8am–midnight daily. All major credit cards accepted
Although a coffeehouse has existed on this site since 1794, the Café Mozart is world famous for being one of the crucial settings in the novel/film "The Third Man". Included in the book as Graham Greene often used to take coffee here, it’s still widely regarded as one of Vienna’s best and exudes a typical period charm (though it can get swamped with tour groups at certain times of the day). However, if you visit reasonably early in the day, the cakes and coffee are well-worth the effort. Splendid!
