Hungarian Parliament, BudapestIf you're already familiar with some of the sights in Budapest, simply make a selection using our full alphabetical listing below.

As well as the most popular tourist attractions, museums and art galleries, we've included places of interest further afield such as Szobor Park (Statue Park) together with day trips to small, picturesque towns like Szentendre, Esztergom, Pannonhalma and Visegrád.

A Guide to Sightseeing by Metro

Budapest Metro MapLike most European cities, the easiest way to get around Budapest's downtown area is by metro. It's fast, efficient and relatively inexpensive, especially if you purchase a one-day or three-day travel card.

Our exclusive map links places of interest, shops, restaurants, theatres and cinemas to nearby metro stations, making it easy to plan your sightseeing and evenings out.

  • Budapest Sightseeing Trips

Heroes' SquareFor 2008, we've again teamed up with Viator to bring you a great selection of ready-to-book Budapest sightseeing tours!

Why waste time in Budapest arranging days out, when you can plan in advance and book online a "Grand Tour of Budapest", a trip to the Hungarian Parliament, or an evening in a traditional restaurant in the hills of Buda (accompanied by a varied folklore show).

To view these great offers and many more, check out our online brochure.

    Guided Walks Around the City

Vörösmarty SquareIn this section we explore the most important sights of the city by taking you on four guided walks.

Walk one, which is ideal for a first day's sightseeing, takes us around the Belvarós (Pest Inner City).

The much longer walk two explores the historic sights in Buda's Castle District, while walk three runs along the Pest embankment from Parliament before crossing the Margit bridge into Buda's Víziváros district.
