With the likes of L'Oréal setting up their own manufacturing and
distribution company in Budapest (Lorebel), it's no surprise that cosmetic and beauty related
products are big business in Hungary. Of course, that's great news for travellers used to being
pampered abroad, or anyone simply after a bargain or two when shopping at a Budapest mall.
Nowadays, all of the big names from the US, Paris and London have a presence in the city, either

Arguably the most useful listing on this page, as the Dutch owned Rossman are the market
leading chemist/perfumery chain in Hungary. The equivalent of Walgreens in the US or Boots in the
UK, it has twenty stores in Budapest alone (including the Mammut and Árkád shopping
malls), while the most centrally located outlet can be found at Váci utca (see address
above). So, if you need tweezers, nail varnish, hair brushes, cosmetics or a 1001 other things,
then Rossmann is a definitely a must visit!

Sothys, the famous French beauty specialists now operate (under franchise) several beauty salons in
downtown Budapest. Central among them is the Bank Center outlet, which offers an extensive range of
