For over 8 years we've raved about the K + K Opera. In
fact, having stayed at other hotels belonging to this likeable Austrian chain, we've come
across very little to fault both here and in Vienna.
Well run, spotlessly clean and with good facilities,
the buffet breakfast and relaxing atmosphere of the Gallery café are also plus
points, while FREE Internet usage is a boon for business travellers. Around the corner is the State Opera House (from which, surprise, surprise, the hotel
takes its name) and the excellent Belcanto restaurant, complete with its singing waiters!
Rooms and public areas have been updated of late, with a pleasant burgundy colour scheme
replacing the company's trademark (and rather bright) yellow. All guest accommodation is well-sized, fully
air-conditioned and equipped with modern furnishings, including hair dryer, colour satellite TV, mini-bar,
tea/coffee maker, direct-dial telephone and in-room-safe. "Non-smoking" rooms are also available.
Breakfast is served in the hotel's stylish breakfast restaurant, while other
facilities include a sauna, fitness and massage, city tours/excursions, rent-a-car,
baby-sitting and conference facilities.
