Located in downtown Pest and near to Váci utca, the Sofitel Atrium - formerly the Regency Hyatt - is among the 'group of three' luxury hotels on the Dunakorzó (Danube Embankment). Our opinion: "A wonderful location almost directly opposite Budapest's Chain Bridge gives the opportunity to explore most of the city's major sights without even using public transport. A 20 minute walk will take you to Castle Hill, just around the corner is the famous Váci utca, while St. Stephen's Basilica is also just a short distance away. Since acquiring the property from Hyatt, Sofitel are significantly improving on what was already a fine hotel. Indeed, frequent visitors to Budapest consistently rate customer service here as being among the most friendly and efficient in the city".
