"Enjoying a prominent, downtown location, the Best Western Hotel Art is a small, well-equipped
property with 32 air-conditioned rooms, fitness centre, spa and sauna (plus the useful option of
garage parking).
The location of this historic hotel puts you right in the heart of Budapest.
Built in 1944 and previously a meeting place for local artists, the architects responsible
for its recent renovation were presented with the "ProArchitectura" award
following its completion.
Each room is equipped with cable TV, a direct-dial telephone and mini bar, while a
decent breakfast buffet is taken each morning in the comfortable Café-Galeria. A
separate bar and restaurant are also made available to guests, while staff are on-hand to
arrange organized excursions: including boat trips on the Danube, city tours and visits to the
Puszta (Hungarian Great Plain).
Within easy walking distance of the Danube embankment and many of the city's major
sights, the immediate vicinity is also chock full of good quality bars and restaurants
making it a great base for a weekend away. Occasionally, because the property is located
down a small side-street, some amplified noise from below permeates into guest
rooms. However, this is a small concern, given the property's otherwise excellent location
and should not detract from a pleasant stay".
