Details

Budapest, Las Vegas, London, Prague, Sydney, Toronto, Vienna and Zurich Guides Updates now underway (15th March 2007) to bring content up-to-date for 2007, whilst also expanding the range of bookable hotel destinations to over 230 cities worldwide. All changes to be completed by 1st May 2007.

Background History

Globewalker arrives on the Internet - On 5 September 1998 Globewalker launched it's first Internet travel guide: The 1998/99 City Guide to Budapest. The site, which comprised of over 120 HTML pages, incorporated high quality images of the city and provided visitors with reliable, up to date information on Hungary's capital.

In late 2000, responsibility for the Globewalker site passed to Talking Webs, a UK based Web design, hosting and domain registration business. In order to convey the new business relationship between the two websites (and to allow for further expansion of the Budapest Guide) it was decided that the "Globewalker" trading name should be incorporated into a separate travel guide portal - Talking Cities.

Since then, and after eight successful years of operation, we've extended our portfolio of guides to include London, Prague, Vienna, Zurich, Las Vegas, Toronto and Sydney, while in 2007, we aim to further increase our total number of guides by adding Barcelona, Edinburgh, Berlin, Salzburg and Münich.
